LifeUnity Yoga
Yogas Citta Vrtti Nirodah.
Yep. That.
Loosely translated, Yoga Is the Quieting of the Chatter of the Mind.
That's it! So what is all of this twisty, bendy, upside-downy stuff with which we've all become familliar? Just a small (albeit important) part of the beauty and depth of Yoga - a philosophy and practice which can literally transform life.
As a registered yoga teacher, I've spent a great deal of time reflecting upon how I want to "teach" - or translate - the small part of this immense tradition that I have absorbed. There are many disciplines of yoga, each offering their own language and luminous paths to an enriched life. For me, the fascinating rainbow of yoga is the literal translation of the word, "yoga" - which is "UNION".
Union of mind and body. Union of human and divine. Union of the daily with the infinite, of the tears and the laughter, of the childrens' poopy diapers and the heartbreaking kisses and giggles, of war and peace, of chocolate and wine.
It is about uniting and integrating all aspects of the SELF (the small self and the all encompassing Self) with that which we call life.
